Tim received a bronze medal for his garden at the Malvern Spring Festival in May 2017, in which he aimed to present the garden as a place of contemplation and meditation, presenting an arrangement of wood rocks and plants through four different frames of oak, with a foreground and background of fine slatted larch. The centre piece was a tree sculpture made of fallen limbs of wild stag oak Tim had collected over the previous year, to contrast with the formal frames of dressed oak. The larch decking was constructed around large boulders of stone along with plants rising through the decking.
He now has his sights set on the Chaumont Garden Festival on the Loire, France, next year to continue his adventures in garden design.
